LEADERSHIP IS NOT DICTATORSHIP

Leadership should not ever be viewed/confused as a dictatorship. As leaders we should be mindful of those that we are leading and understand that the input of those that surround us matter. As I've stated a number of times...teaching goes both ways and feedback is a means of gaining knowledge/self awareness through those who are close to/around you. Therefore, leaders are teachers, but mindfully we are still students in the same. The people that we lead...are different in many ways (shapes, size, origin...etc). Ultimately, you will deal with them differently and with that...you must take the bad with the good in order to better yourself simultaneously. Imagine this...you (leader) have a 500 piece jigsaw puzzle (your people)...every piece will group with another (shapes, size, origin)...as the leader...you are charged with fitting those pieces (different shapes, sizes origin) together. You are charged with building from each weakness of the 500...to complete a beautiful display (I.e. the bigger picture)....therefore..."buy in" starts with the leader...and you must conform yourself to earn it. #osmosisthoughtz
