Who’s Your Hero?

We all have someone we look up to. Someone whose story, strength, or spirit moves us. It’s not always the caped crusader kind of hero. Sometimes, it’s the quiet warrior who shows up every day, who keeps going even when no one is watching. So let me ask you…who’s your hero?

Maybe it’s your mom who raised you on her own, working two jobs and still managing to make you feel like you were the center of her universe. Maybe it’s your best friend who pulled you out of a dark place when you couldn’t even find the words to ask for help. Or maybe your hero is someone you’ve never met a writer, an artist, a teacher, an activist…someone whose life cracked open a new perspective in you.

Heroes don’t always save the world. Sometimes, they just save you, in small but significant ways. They lead by example. They give you permission to be yourself. They hold up a mirror and help you see the strength you forgot you had.

My hero? It’s the person I’m still becoming. The version of myself that keeps evolving, healing, learning, and refusing to quit. I honor the people who inspire me along the way, but I’ve learned not to place all my hope outside myself. We all carry something heroic inside…resilience, love, hope. And when we tap into that, we not only recognize our heroes more clearly, we become one for someone else.

So again…who’s your hero? And more importantly, how can you live in a way that honors them?
